Raul Gonzalez. Athlete (Racewalk). Olympic Gold, 1984



Raul Gonzalez Rodriguez

He won the 50 km racewalk at the World Race Walking Cup in 1977, 1981 and 1983

He set the World Record in the 50 km racewalk twice and received the National Sports Award of Mexico in 1978

He won the Gold Medal in the 50 km racewalk setting an Olympic Record  at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and won the Silver Medal in the 20 km racewalk at the same Games

He was head of Mexico´s National Sports Commission from 1988 to 1994
